In the fall of 1970, the newly established Emmanuel United Methodist Church opened its doors to the children through Emmanuel United Methodist Kindergarten and Preschool. This dream began with thirty (30) children and a shared vision of the Work Area on Education and charter Nelie Waller. Since that time, it continues to serve as a vital part of this church and the community with a current enrollment of 270 children.
